ABOUT
For over a decade, Brazilian artist and producer ALE AMAZONIA has been integrating, directing, producing and promoting Sino-Brazilian artistic projects in both China and Brazil. Among his many projects, his participation as a founding member and member of the Shanghainese proto-punk band脏手指 OH! DIRTY FINGERS , which has achieved critical and public success with three albums, stands out; he is also a founding member, together with Chinese filmmaker 赵人秀Cab, American archivist William Griff and German journalist Fabian Peltsch, of the independent media platform SUBTROPICAL ASIA ; and he founded, in partnership with the Brazilian Embassy in Beijing, in 2019, the artistic exchange project CHINA TROPICAL热带赤县, of which he is also the director. During his forced return to Brazil due to COVID-19, he wrote and
released his first book A THOUSAND EYES A THOUSAND ARMS: REPORTS OF AN ANTHROPOPHAGIC PUNK IN RED CHINA by the São Paulo publisher Autonomia Literária. In 2024 he returned to China to resume his position as a drummer and solo composer as AMAZONIA, O亚马孙先生, and in 2025 he restructured the scope of the project to make it an artistic and cultural exchange agency to help Brazilian artists carry out projects in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other eastern countries of the world such as Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. And, as well, as helping Chinese artists carry out projects in Brazil and Latin America.
